Amber Coverdale Sumrall was born in California, and has lived in Santa Cruz County since 1972. She is the author of Litany of Wings and Refuge, collections of poems, and has edited or co-edited thirteen anthologies including Storming Heaven’s Gate: Spiritual Writings by Women, Catholic Girls, and Women of the 14th Moon: Writings on Menopause. Her poems have been featured on The Writer’s Almanac. For twenty-eight years she co-produced In Celebration of the Muse, an annual literary event featuring Santa Cruz women writers. She is a 2010 recipient of a Gail Rich Award. Amber leads writing retreats at the Hermitage in Big Sur, and has taken fifteen trips to her homes away from home in Ireland, solo and with groups, since 2007. She lives in the redwoods with Steve, indoor cat Shiloh, and many birds who visit assorted feeders at their creekside home.

Jen Siraganian is an Armenian-American writer, educator, and former Poet Laureate of Los Gatos, California. Her poetry has appeared in AGNI, Best New Poets 2016 and 2025, Cincinnati Review, Electric Literature, Poetry Daily, Prairie Schooner, The Rumpus, the anthology Heaven Looks Like Us: Palestinian Poetry, and elsewhere. A winner of the New Ohio Review Poetry Prize and The Writing Salon’s Jane Underwood Poetry Prize, she has received support from the Money for Women / Barbara Deming Memorial Fund, Community of Writers, Napa Valley Writers’ Conference, and Alliance for Young Artists. She served as managing director of Litquake: San Francisco’s Literary Festival, and currently she is a Lucas Artist Fellow at the Montalvo Arts Center in Saratoga, California. Her work was named a finalist for the Dorset Prize and the Charles B. Wheeler Poetry Prize, as well as a semifinalist for the Lexi Rudnitsky First Book Prize, the Philip Levine Prize for Poetry, and the Vassar Miller Prize in Poetry. Winner of the 2026 Perugia Press Prize, Everything Has Been Moved, Even the Dead is her first book.
